Wan Chai & Causeway Bay

Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are dense, late-running districts of bars, office blocks and shopping streets, and Lockhart Road in particular keeps going long after midnight.

Honbo on Moon Street has been making smash burgers since 2017, using local potato milk buns, fresh-ground beef and a short menu. Burger Joys on Lockhart Road serves brioche-bun double cheeseburgers into the early hours, and California Express, a few doors along, has cheeseburgers and tater tots until 5.30am. Further east in North Point, Baka Burger takes a Japanese angle with beef tongue and fried ramen burgers.

Wan Chai MTR is the closest station for Moon Street and Lockhart Road, and North Point MTR serves Baka Burger. The tram runs through both districts. Lockhart Road is at its busiest late on Friday and Saturday nights, which suits the two late-opening counters there. Baka Burger is a short ride east of Wan Chai by MTR or tram.
