Baka Burger is a North Point shop with a Japanese streak, popular locally for its large handmade patties and generous toppings piled onto toasted brioche buns. The shop sits on North Point Road, a short walk from North Point MTR station.
The menu goes well beyond the usual. The beef tongue burger (HK$92) is finished with fried garlic and sweet mustard sauce; the mentaiko shrimp burger (HK$82) brings cod roe into the mix; and the Japanese fried ramen burger (HK$62) swaps the bun for fried noodles, with egg and bacon as the filling. Beyond burgers, Baka serves pasta and Japanese snacks such as okonomiyaki (HK$59), gyoza (HK$30) and takoyaki.
A good choice for a group that wants burgers plus something to share, or for anyone curious about Japanese-style burger fillings. Bacon is used, so it is not halal. Delivery is through foodpanda.
