Kemang & South Jakarta

Kemang and South Jakarta are where much of the city's casual dining lives, with independent shops along Prapanca Raya, Cipete Raya and Kemang's side streets, plus market stalls and long-running budget favourites.

Dan's Burgers in Dharmawangsa draws queues for its kosher-salt Classic Smashburger, and Daring Deli next door is known for the Valkyrie and a soft-shell crab Krabby Patty. Ask For Patty began online in 2020. PEPR. in Permata Senayan uses custom buns from Bread Culture. Lawless Burgerbar is Kemang's heavy-metal burger bar. On Cipete Raya, Supper Sandwich & Burger is a New York-style diner and Burger Garage has Formula 1-themed burgers. Byurger grew from a Cipete market stall, and Burger Bakar Qebul in Jagakarsa sells grilled burgers for around Rp25,000.

Cipete Raya, Haji Nawi and Blok M MRT stations are close to several spots. Expect queues at Dan's Burgers at peak times. Kemang traffic is slow in the evening, so use Grab or Gojek, as parking on Prapanca Raya is tight.
