Sukhumvit, Thonglor and Ekkamai are Bangkok's main expat and nightlife stretch, with sois full of bars, malls and independent restaurants, and the strongest concentration of burger spots in the city.

Smizzle Burger off Sukhumvit 26 is known for the Crusty Blondy with fried cheddar, and Easy Burger in Phrom Phong uses Sloane's dry-aged beef and in-house potato buns. Goodburgs – Burgers & Fries serves dry-aged wagyu smash burgers at The Racquet Club, and Prime Burger Sukhumvit, the brand's flagship, opens until 3am. Bang Bang Burgers on Soi 11 has ten beers on tap, while Beast & Butter in Thonglor grew out of a food truck. Homeburg is Taiki Rattanapong Tsubota's eight-seat burger omakase. Elder Burger Thonglor is a Seoul brand's first Thai branch, and EZ Smash Bangkok brings Amsterdam smash burgers to Cloud 11.

The BTS Sukhumvit Line runs the length of the area, with Nana, Asok, Phrom Phong, Thong Lo and Phra Khanong stations closest to most spots. Book Homeburg ahead given its eight seats. Sukhumvit traffic is heavy in the evening, so the BTS beats a taxi.
