Beast & Butter

Beast & Butter started life as a small yellow food truck and now has a permanent shop on Soi Thonglor 10, a few minutes from BTS Thong Lo. Its own line is "simple things done right", and the room is a laid-back mix of burger bar and beer bar. BK Magazine and Time Out have both covered it as one of the neighbourhood's burger specialists.

Patties come in beef, pork or a vegetarian version. The Bacon Mushroom (B250), with Swiss cheese, caramelised onions, mushrooms and bacon, is the best seller, and The Beast and the Double Double are the straight cheeseburger options. The Veggie Beast swaps in a meat-free patty with crispy seaweed and house sauce. There are thick-cut steaks, a bacon jalapeño mac and cheese, craft beers on tap and hand-spun milkshakes.

A good fit for an informal dinner with drinks on Thonglor. Hours have changed over the years, so check before going. There are no other branches.
