Phuket's burger scene is small and spread across the island, with chef-founded shops, craft beer bars and independents that began as carts or tiny counters. It suits a burger stop between beaches rather than a dedicated burger crawl.

Millionaire Burgers at Surin Beach leads with the Notorious P.I.G, a 12-hour slow-cooked pork burger. Pan Burger in Koh Kaew, from Mark Jones of The Nai Harn, is known for its Gorgonzola cheese burger. EAT. Burgers & Beers in Karon pairs wagyu smash burgers with more than 20 beers, Treasure Burger in Rawai's Art Village serves the fiery Mt'spicy, and OOO Burger in Si Sunthon grew from a roadside cart into a popular shop.

These spots are far apart, from Surin and Si Sunthon in the north and west to Karon and Rawai in the south, so a car, scooter or ride-hailing app is needed. Allow extra time in the high season, when beach roads are slow, and check opening days before a long drive.
