Madcow Burger was founded in Bangkok by Toni "Tua" Santos and has grown from a cult favourite into a burger brand with branches around Thailand. The Phuket outpost is on Ratsada Road in Phuket Old Town, among the Sino-Portuguese shophouses, cafés and galleries of the old quarter, and Time Out Phuket included it in its June 2026 round-up of the island's best burgers.
The signature Madcow burger pairs a smashed beef patty with a molten cheese centre, crisp beef bacon and house sauce, served in the black charcoal bun that has become the brand's calling card. Mac and cheese is the side to add if you are hungry. Time Out describes the menu here as halal-friendly for the surrounding neighbourhood, but there is no confirmed certification, so check with the staff if it matters to you.
It works best as a lunch or early dinner stop while exploring Old Town; a late lunch leaves the rest of the afternoon for the street art and cafés nearby. It opens daily from 11am. Madcow also has branches in Bangkok and Pattaya.
