Fatboy's opened its first burger bar on Upper Thomson Road in 2009 and the original shophouse is still the brand's home. It is a casual, noisy room with booths, beer and a long menu of homemade burgers, and it has stayed on Singapore burger lists for well over a decade, including 2026 round-ups.
The Fat Basterd is the signature: a double beef chuck patty with the kitchen's own barbecue sauce, from around S$19.80. The Bacon Bacon Cheese Cheeseburger doubles both bacon and cheese on a buttered sesame brioche with smoked chipotle sauce, while The Elvis piles melted peanut butter, grilled banana and smoked bacon onto beef. There is also a waffle fried chicken sandwich, and diners can build their own burger from a list of patties, cheeses and toppings.
It suits friends sharing beers and fries or an easy weekend lunch. Bacon and pork are on the menu, so it is not halal. The second outlet is at 44A Prinsep Street near Bras Basah.
