Beef & Liberty has been one of Hong Kong's better-known burger specialists for more than a decade. Its main city restaurant is in Stanley Plaza, a relaxed seaside setting that suits weekend lunches, and tables can be booked through OpenTable.
The beef is grass-fed and free of hormones and antibiotics, ground in-house daily, and the buns are baked locally to the restaurant's own recipe. The classic Hamburger is about HK$109; the Double Smashed with Cheese (around HK$128–130) uses two 85g patties with American cheese, butter lettuce, house pickles and Dijon mayo; and the Bacon Cheese Burger (HK$149) uses nitrate-free Austrian bacon. A 220g New Zealand Wagyu patty can be swapped in, the Wagyu Special adds raclette and onion jam, and there is a plant-based Impossible Burger.
A good pick for families spending a day in Stanley. Bacon is on the menu, so it is not halal. A second Hong Kong branch is airside at Hong Kong International Airport, Terminal 1 (East Hall), and the brand also operates in Shanghai.
