Bun Meat & Cheese is the burger shop of chef Taiki Rattanapong Tsubota, whose earlier On Nut project, Homeburg, drew a cult following and a Michelin Guide feature on Bangkok burgers. It sits in The Commons Saladaeng, the community mall a short walk from BTS Sala Daeng and MRT Silom.
Tsubota's approach is precise: patties ground from a blend of beef cuts, American cheese, crisp bacon and soft Japanese-style milk buns grilled until crisp. The core cheeseburger is the order, and the shop has run tribute specials recreating famous burgers from around the world, such as its Shake Shack-inspired Fake Shack. Fries and shakes complete the meal.
A good choice for a careful, chef-made burger in the Silom area without hotel prices; Wongnai puts spending at B251–500 a head. Delivery is available. The shop has also traded at The Commons Thonglor in the past.
