BurgerLabo sits in Henderson Industrial Park off Henderson Road, a short ride from Tiong Bahru and Redhill. It started in 2015 as 2280 Burger, a small bar-and-bites concept led by Tan Ken Loon, and when the Basic Burger became the best-seller the team gave it a restaurant of its own. "Labo" is Japanese shorthand for laboratory, a nod to the habit of testing and refining each part of the burger.
The Basic Burger (S$19.80) is the one to order: a loosely packed patty of Aberdeen Angus and Toriyama A4 wagyu, brushed with fermented beef garum, with American cheese and pickled red onions on a toasted potato bun brushed with brown butter. Eatbook ranked it third in its July 2026 list of Singapore's best burgers. Earlier menus have also carried a New Zealand blue cod burger and a lobster roll for anyone not in the mood for beef.
It suits a weekday lunch or an unhurried dinner away from the CBD crowds. The kitchen closes between 3pm and 5pm and all day on Sundays, so plan around that. It is not halal-certified. The same team runs SMASH! by BurgerLabo, a smash-burger counter at Raffles City, which has its own listing.
