Locavore To Go is the casual cafe of chefs Eelke Plasmeijer and Ray Adriansyah, the team behind Ubud's Locavore NXT. It is where the chefs say they go when they want a break from tasting menus. Much of the meat comes from their adjacent butcher shop, Local Parts, and you can even point at a cut in the chiller and have it cooked for you.
The Burger à la Ray is the reason to come: two 75g Wagyu beef patties with a secret sauce. The Fish Burger is the other long-standing favourite, and the BBQ pulled pork, fried chicken and prawn sausage burgers rotate alongside. Vegans get the Localab, with a plant-based patty, cashew cheese, miso mayo and chilli sauce. Coffee comes from local roaster Hungry Bird.
A good way to taste the Locavore kitchen without a reservation months ahead. It is a small hole-in-the-wall space, so expect to share tables at busy times. Burgers start around Rp100k. Open daily 9am to 10pm, with last orders at 9.30pm.
Hours and prices change, so please check with the restaurant before you go.
