Afterwork Grill & Chill

Afterwork is a neighbourhood grill on Jl. Batur Sari, on the quieter side of Sanur, and it draws a steady mix of expats and locals. The room is cosy and unfussy, and the idea is to grill and chill: burgers, steaks and pizza with cold beer. It is one of the few places in Sanur where burgers are a headline rather than an afterthought.

The burgers are made with homemade buns and sauces and hand-shaped meat and fish patties. The Slab is the big beef burger to go for, and Afterwork's Chicken Burger is the lighter alternative. Salty fries and an ice-cold Bintang complete the order. The grill also turns out pork spare ribs and peri-peri chicken if anyone wants a change.

Suits a relaxed lunch break or an easy weeknight dinner, and the kitchen is happy with children. Burgers start at around Rp49k, among the lowest prices on this list. Open daily from 11am to 10pm. There are no other branches.
