Sick! Burger began as a small shop in Ma On Shan and has since spread to Causeway Bay and Central's BaseHall food hall. It has a loyal local following and appears on both Time Out's and Foodie's current burger lists.
The signature Sick! burger (from HK$95) comes with one, two or three home-ground smashed Angus patties, crispy bacon, creamy house sauce, a sunny-side-up egg, lettuce, tomato and onion. The Sick! Chicken puts a buttermilk-fried thigh in a brioche bun with coleslaw, sansho pepper, shiso and Caesar dressing, and earlier menus have included a crab cake topped with uni. The battered onion rings (HK$40) are the side to order.
Good for a filling, casual meal. Bacon is on the menu, so it is not halal. Besides Ma On Shan, there are branches in Causeway Bay and at BaseHall in Central, which are easier to reach from the city centre.
