Flat Iron Burger comes from Johnny Glover, the founder behind Steak King and Flat Iron Steak. It started as a viral Soho shop and now runs from Harbour City's Gateway Arcade in Tsim Sha Tsui, with a second shop in Wan Chai. Seating is walk-in only and every burger comes with fries and salad.
The patty is a blend of rump, brisket and chuck, with a Wagyu version available. The Flat Iron Deluxe (around HK$138–148) is a seared smash burger with six ounces of Prime Black Angus, double American cheese, streaky bacon, house pickles, crispy onion and Old Bay mayo. Lighter appetites can order the Flat Iron Jr., and the Buffalo Chicken (HK$98) and Flat Iron Fillet, a battered plaice burger, cover non-beef options. Loaded fries, frozen custard and concrete shakes round out the menu.
Good value for a shopping-day lunch or an easy dinner near Canton Road. Bacon features, so it is not halal. The Wan Chai branch is at Shop A, G/F, Kelly House, 6–14 Greeson Street (+852 3104 4929) and takes bookings.
