Big Pink Burgers is a small smash-burger shop on Hoi Pong Street in Sai Kung town, with an arcade-themed look and website. The beef is ground by hand and fresh each day, and Yardley Brothers craft beer, brewed locally, is on tap.
The classic smash burger (HK$98) is flattened hard for crisp, salty edges. Double-smashed regulars also order the Oklahoma fried onion burger (HK$98), with onions pressed into the patty on the griddle, and the patty melt (HK$98), a grilled white-bread cheeseburger with onion that is rarely found in Hong Kong. On the side, the corn ribs (HK$58) are glazed with chilli-honey butter.
A good stop after a day on the water or a hike in Sai Kung Country Park. It is closed on Mondays, and the shop also caters with delivery across Hong Kong. Halal status is not stated.
